"In the Throes..." in the press

This month's issue of Outburn Magazine, #53, has a stellar review of our full length album "In the Throes...."  Dan Slessor writes, "All of the tracks on "In the Throes..."are haunted by the insidious and subterranean tones typical of a band like Tool, and this can be put down to The Paper Sons' predilection for restrained chuggery and the ghostly vocals of Tom McCullough, who could be the lovechild of Maynard James Keenan and Vaux's Quentin Smith."

Artist Direct's Rick Florino revied the CD and interviewed our own Tom McCullough a little while back.  Rick compares " In the Throes..." to "white pony-era deftones" and "early Queens of the Stone Age." You can also find another gratifying review in Your Music Magazine #75.

So let's see - comparisons to Vaux, Tool, QotSA, Deftones, and U2 - sounds like we're on to something here...but I guess you guys knew that already.
